Humans are parasitic to the earth. To demonstrate the negative impact humans have on the environment, I utilized trash collected along the Anacostia River from a community action event to display the trash found along the river. This installation hung from the ceiling as streamers into the entryway of the Matthew Henson Earth Conservation Center forcing all who entered to be faced with the awareness of this environmental issue.
